Cashless Ramazan Sasta Bazaar established in Islamabad’s G-6

ISLAMABAD, Feb 18 (APP):A cashless Ramazan Sasta Bazaar has been set up in Islamabad’s G-6 Aabpara, aimed at providing essential items to citizens at subsidised rates during the holy month.
Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited the newly established market and inspected stalls offering vegetables, fruits, and other essential commodities. He reviewed the quality of food items and examined their prices in detail.
During the visit, the minister directed the administration to display rate lists clearly and prominently at every stall. He also instructed officials to further improve cleanliness and security arrangements inside the Ramazan bazaar.
Mohsin Naqvi interacted with citizens at various stalls and inquired about the quality and prices of items. Some visitors complained about the lack of compliance with official rate lists. The minister immediately instructed vendors:
“Write and display prices clearly so the public can see the official market rate and your rate.”
He emphasized that providing affordable and quality essential items to the public remains the government’s top priority.
“No negligence will be tolerated in delivering relief to the people,” he said.
The Deputy Commissioner Islamabad briefed the Minister on the overall arrangements, informing him that several private companies have also set up stalls in the G-6 Ramazan Bazaar.
According to the briefing, the bazaar will remain open from 9 AM to 4 PM, and a special monitoring mechanism has been activated to ensure that all items are sold strictly according to the official market rates.
The Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Deputy Commissioner, DG Enforcement, Assistant Commissioner, and other officials were also present during the visit.
