Zimbabwe’s parliamentary delegation arrives in Belarus on official visit

MINSK, Feb 18 (BelTA/APP): A parliamentary delegation from the Republic of Zimbabwe, led by President of the country’s Senate Mabel Memory Chinomona, has arrived in Belarus on an official visit, BelTA has learned.

The delegation was greeted at Minsk National Airport by Sergei Aleinik, Chairman of the Standing Commission on International Affairs and National Security the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus.

The Zimbabwean parliamentarians’ visit to Belarus will run through 22 February. The program includes meetings at the Council of the Republic in both narrow and extended formats, followed by the anticipated signing of a memorandum of cooperation between the Council of the Republic and the Senate of the Republic of Zimbabwe.

The visit will also include tours of the Hi-Tech Park, Minsk Tractor Works, the My Belarus exhibition showcasing the achievements of sovereign Belarus at the Minsk International Exhibition Center, as well as familiarization with the capabilities of the healthcare system, among other events.
