ISLAMABAD, Feb 17 (APP):Speaker of National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has strongly condemned the terrorist attack carried out by Fitna al-Khawarij militants on a security check post in Bajaur.
In a statement, the Speaker paid tribute to the security forces for successfully repelling the attack and eliminating 12 Khawarij terrorists.
He commended the bravery and professionalism of the forces in thwarting the militants’ nefarious designs.
Expressing deep sorrow and grief over the martyrdom of 11 brave security personnel during the attack, Ayaz Sadiq honored their courage and sacrifice, saying that the nation would never forget the invaluable contributions of its martyrs in the fight against terrorism.
“The eternal sacrifices of our brave sons who laid down their lives in the war against terrorism are unforgettable,” the Speaker said, adding that the entire nation stands shoulder to shoulder with its security forces in this ongoing struggle.
He extended heartfelt condolences and sympathies to the bereaved families of the martyrs and prayed for the elevation of their ranks. The Speaker also prayed for the speedy recovery of civilians injured in the incident.
Ayaz Sadiq reaffirmed that terrorists and anti-state elements would never succeed in their malicious intentions. He emphasized that operations against terrorism would continue until its complete eradication from the country.
“The sacrifices of our brave soldiers and innocent citizens will not go in vain. The entire nation is united for the complete elimination of terrorism,” he added.
