Punjab sports minister plants sapling

LAHORE, Oct 09 (APP):Punjab Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Rai Taimoor Khan Bhatti planted a sapling under Prime Minister Imran Khan’s Clean and Green Pakistan campaign, at Nishtar Park Sports Complex here on Tuesday.
Talking to the media, he said that around one lakh saplings have been planted in Punjab province under the new initiative.
He said the tree plantation drive was under way across the country, adding that every citizen of the country must take part in this campaign with full dedication. “Trees help a lot in cleaning the environment and we can tackle climatic challenges in a befitting manner through this campaign,” the provincial minister said.
He said the drive would lead to develop a clean and green culture across the country. “All divisional and district sports officers are also planting trees in their respective areas and contributing a lot for making the drive a success,” he added.
