PESHAWAR, Feb 17 (APP):Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi on Tuesday paid rich tribute to security forces for killing 12 Indian-backed khawarij during an attack on a security check post in district Bajaur.
The Governor commended the professional skills and bravery of the security personnel for effectively responding to the assault and eliminating the attackers.
He paid homage to the 11 security personnel who embraced martyrdom while fighting the terrorists, saying that their sacrifices would not go in vain.
The Governor expressed heartfelt condolences and sympathy with the bereaved families of the martyrs and prayed for strength and patience for them to bear the irreparable loss.
The Governor also extended best wishes for the speedy recovery of the injured security personnel as well as women, children and other civilians who were wounded in the attack.
“Such cowardly acts cannot weaken the resolve and determination of the nation in the fight against terrorism,” he said, adding that the sacrifices rendered by the martyrs would lead to the complete elimination of terrorism and khawarij elements from the country.
Faisal Karim Kundi said the bravery and firm resolve of the armed forces and police in combating terrorists were commendable and a source of pride for the nation.
