ISLAMABAD, Feb 17 (APP):Vice President of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Sherry Rehman Tuesday strongly condemned the terrorist attack on security forces in Bajaur, paying tribute to the martyred soldiers and vowing continued national resolve against terrorism.
In a statement, Sherry Rehman said that Indian-backed terrorists had once again attempted to destabilize the country, but their nefarious designs were foiled by the brave response of Pakistan’s security forces.
She said that twelve terrorists were neutralized during the operation, preventing further damage and loss of life.
The Senator praised the courage and sacrifice of the eleven soldiers who embraced martyrdom while defending the nation.
“The brave sons of the soil laid down their lives but did not allow terrorists to succeed in their evil intentions,” she said, adding that the martyred personnel are the pride of the nation and a symbol of resilience and patriotism.
Expressing deep sorrow over the loss of lives, the PPP leader offered prayers for the eternal peace of the martyrs and strength and patience for their bereaved families. She said the entire nation stands united in grief and solidarity with the families of the fallen heroes.
Reaffirming the country’s determination to eliminate terrorism, Sherry Rehman emphasized that the people of Pakistan will continue to stand shoulder to shoulder with their security forces until the last terrorist is eradicated.
She underscored the need for unity and collective resolve to defeat all threats to national security.
