35 Afghans deported in operation against criminals in city

PESHAWAR, Feb 17 (APP):During ongoing search operations against proclaimed offenders and criminal elements in Peshawar, police have completed the inspection of more than 1,000 houses and have detained 35 Afghan refugees, who were later deported after legal procedures.
According to police on Tuesday, hundreds of suspicious individuals were also arrested during the operation, and around 150 cases were registered.
The search-and-strike operations are being carried out under the supervision of CCPO Peshawar Dr. Mian Saeed. During the raids, illegal weapons were recovered and a total of 41 operations were conducted in different areas of the city.
Police also inspected 35 hotels as part of the operation. Afghan nationals residing illegally in the city were taken into custody and sent back to their country following legal action.
Police officials stated that these operations are being conducted to maintain law and order and to prevent criminal activities. The operations are continuing under the monitoring of SPs and SDPOs.
