GCWUS gets modern CCTV security system

SIALKOT, Feb 17 (APP):Government College Women University Sialkot (GCWUS) on Tuesday inaugurated a state-of-the-art CCTV security surveillance system at its Imam Bibi Campus,aiming to further strengthen campus safety and monitoring.
The system was formally launched by Vice Chancellor(VC) Prof. Dr.Shazia Bashir.
According to a university release,the project was funded by the Higher Education Department,Punjab and implemented by the IT Support Center (ITSC),GCWUS,in collaboration with the P&D Department,while its execution was carried out by Net Com.
The surveillance network comprises 102 high-resolution boundary cameras,six advanced PTZ cameras and 80 indoor security cameras.
In addition,a nine-screen matrix video wall has been installed at the data center to ensure round-the-clock real-time monitoring across the sprawling 200-acre campus.
During the ceremony,Mr.Razi Ahmad gave a detailed briefing on the system,outlining its advanced features and monitoring capabilities designed to ensure the safety and security of students,faculty and staff.
The VC lauded the efforts of  In-charge ITSC,Mr.Usama Ashraf and his team for their dedication and hard work in making the project operational.
“Ensuring a safe, secure and technologically advanced learning environment is our foremost priority.This initiative reflects our commitment to modern governance and student well-being,” she said.
