Afzaal Goraya plants 460 mango trees at GCWUS

SIALKOT, Feb 16 (APP):Government College Women University Sialkot (GCWUS) on Monday recognized the efforts distinguished businessman from Spain,Afzaal Goraya, for his green initiative at the university’s Imam Bibi Campus.
During his visit, Goraya,in collaboration with Vice Chancellor(VC) Prof. Dr.Shazia Bashir planted 460 mango trees from five different varieties sourced from Multan in the Citrus Garden.
The plantation drive was supervised by Assistant Professor of Zoology,Dr.Hassan Siddiqui.
The initiative aims to promote environmental sustainability and beautify the university campus.
In a further show of support,Goraya pledged Rs.1 million to the University Endowment fund,which will be used to sponsor a scholarship for a deserving student,highlighting his commitment to both education and empowerment of young women.
VC Prof.Dr.Shazia Bashir expressed deep appreciation for Goraya’s generous gesture,commending his contributions towards the university’s environmental and educational growth.
