KOHAT, Feb 16 (APP):The police successfully intercepted an arms smuggling attempt, recovering six pistols during a targeted operation at the Muslimabad check post, the police spokesman said on Monday.
He said operation was carried out under the supervision of SHO, Jerma Police Station, Umar Khaliq Khan, along with his team.
The suspect, identified as Dawood, a resident of Bannu, was apprehended on the spot.
The recovered weapons were taken into custody, and a formal case has been registered against the accused.
He stated that the timely action reflected the police’s commitment to curb illegal arms trafficking and ensure public safety in the region.
