ISLAMABAD, Feb 14 (APP):Iqra University (IU) H-9 Campus has hosted its flagship grand alumni dinner, “The Ascent 2026 – Reconnect. Rise. Reimagine,” bringing together a distinguished assembly of graduates, industry leaders, and academic stalwarts to celebrate the university’s legacy.
The event served as a strategic platform to bridge the gap between industry and academia. Key highlights included the official launch of the IU Alumni Mentorship Program, designed to promote professional collaboration and provide students with direct access to global industry insights, said a press release issued here on Saturday.
Addressing the gathering, Badar Abbas Shah (Head of the Career Services Office), who designed the event, emphasized that alumni are the university’s primary ambassadors. Professor Dr. Eatzaz Ahmed (Associate Dean, Iqra University H-9 Islamabad) delivered the welcome address, noting that the event reinforces the university’s commitment to building lifelong, value-driven relationships with its graduates.
The event featured a blend of nostalgia and innovation, including “E-Meet” video messages from alumni across the globe, a lively Tambola session, and a musical performance. The event concluded with a formal dinner and networking session, allowing former classmates to reconnect and explore future business collaboration.
The highlight of the event was the Alumni Excellence Awards, which recognized graduates who have made significant contributions to their fields. Kinza Saeed, Dr. Syed Asad Ali Shah, Moiz Jawed, Muhammad Umer Gulzari, Zeeshan Khan, Dr. Faisal Riaz, and Nida Ali Khan were among the awardees for their valuable contributions in different categories.
