ISLAMABAD, Feb 13 (APP):Federal Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan has taken serious notice of the tragic accident on the M-9 Motorway and directed the IG Motorway Police to conduct an immediate investigation and submit a detailed report on the incident.
He issued strict instructions to ensure that all vehicles entering the motorway undergo rigorous tire inspections. He ordered that vehicles with expired or weak tires must not be allowed on the motorway under any circumstances, said a press release issued on Friday.
The minister stressed that while commercial vehicles require close monitoring, private vehicles must also undergo thorough inspections.“The prescribed safety standards for all vehicles traveling on the motorway must be strictly enforced to prevent such accidents in the future,” he said.
Expressing deep grief over the M-9 accident, Abdul Aleem Khan conveyed heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased and affected individuals, praying for patience and strength for the bereaved.
