ISLAMABAD, Feb 13 (APP):The Federal Ombudsperson Secretariat for Protection against Harassment (FOSPAH) on Friday ordered to dismiss Vice Chancellor of Health Services Academy (HSA) Dr. Shahzad Ali Khan from his post after convicting him in a harassment case.
The FOSPAH also rejected the allegations of acquiescence and honey trapping in the complaint filed by Dr. Shahzad Ali Khan against the female doctor.
Federal Ombudsperson for Anti-Harassment Fawzia Waqar ruled in favor of the female doctor on the harassment complaint. The decision said that in harassment cases, decisions are made by considering the entire record and overall circumstances.
It said that the record proved that Dr. Shahzad Ali Khan misused his powers as Vice Chancellor and established an inappropriate relationship with his student and later a junior colleague. Dr. Shahzad Ali Khan was found guilty of harassment without any doubt. If he is allowed to work as Vice Chancellor, he may repeat this act in the future as well, therefore, Dr. Shahzad is dismissed from his post as punishment, the order said.
The Federal Ombudsperson also rejected the allegations of financial corruption against the complainant female doctor due to lack of evidence.
