ISLAMABAD, Feb 13 (APP):Former Federal Secretary for Information and Broadcasting Ambreen Jan assumed the charge as chairperson of Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) on Friday.
“Ms. Ambreen Jan has assumed the charge as Chairperson PEMRA,” the authority said in a post on X.
“At the occasion, she resolved to strengthen role of the Authority for development of media industry in Pakistan,” it added.
She has served in various roles such as Federal Secretary for Information and Broadcasting, Managing Director of Pakistan Television, Director General Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation and Press Counselor in Bangladesh.
