SIALKOT, Feb 13 (APP):The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) sealed two milk shops and registered cases against their owners for supplying adulterated milk,officials said Friday.
During a crackdown on substandard food units,six establishments were inspected.
A sweets and bakery production unit was heavily fined for poor hygiene,while a large quantity of adulterated desi ghee and banned food items was confiscated and destroyed on the spot.Three other food outlets were served improvement notices for minor violations.
A PFA spokesperson reiterated that zero tolerance would be maintained against food adulteration during Ramazan to safeguard public health.
