RAWALPINDI, Feb 12 (APP): Commissioner Rawalpindi Engineer Aamir Khattak and Regional Police Officer (RPO) Syed Khalid Mahmood Hamdani on Thursday chaired a high-level meeting at the Police Lines Headquarters to strengthen security arrangements at churches across the division, an initiative welcomed by the Christian community.
Senior officials, including the Senior Superintendents of Police (SSP) Operations and Investigation, divisional SPs, DSP Headquarters, and other officers attended the meeting. Pastors and community leaders from the Christian community were also present.

The RPO directed that effective and foolproof security measures be maintained at all churches. He ordered continuous CCTV monitoring, enhanced checks at main entry points, and deployment of trained guards alongside police personnel. Security duties on rooftops and outer posts were also to be strictly enforced.
Community leaders thanked the RPO for the measures and praised the Rawalpindi Police’s efforts to ensure interfaith harmony. They assured full cooperation in implementing the security arrangements.
