RAWALPINDI, Feb 12 (APP):The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has arrested three suspects, including a woman, and seized more than 78 kg of narcotics in four operations across the country on Thursday.
In a statement, the ANF spokesperson said that ANF recovered 6.24 kg of crystal meth concealed in a bedsheet from a parcel bound for New Zealand at the cargo shed of Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore.
In another operation, 48 kg of hashish was seized from a vehicle near a hotel in Pishin district, Balochistan, and one suspect was arrested.
A further 12 kg of hashish was recovered from a vehicle on the GT Road in Faqirabad, Attock district. In comparison, another 12 kg was seized from the possession of a woman in Mianwali district.
The total value of the recovered drugs was estimated at over Rs 7 million, the spokesperson said.
Cases have been registered under the Control of Narcotic Substances Act, 1997, and investigations are underway.
