KARACHI, Feb 12 (APP):Six ships, X-Press Anglesey,Ren Jian-26, PVT Sunrise, ELM Galaxy and Lilas Calm, carrying Container, Palm oil, Chemicals, and Coal, berthed at Qasim International Container Terminal, Liquid Cargo Terminal, Engro Vopak Terminal and Port Qasim
Power Electric Terminal respectively on Wednesday, Meanwhile three more ships, Pan Bonita, Al-Sene and Sea Spirit carrying Steel Coil, LNG, and Coal also arrived at outer anchorage on same day.
A total of thirteen ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours,out of them five ships, X-Press Anglesey, APL Le Havre, Torm Innovation, M Brigit and Liana left the port on Thursday morning, while three more ships, ELM Galaxy, Ren Jian-26, and Kiran Caribbean are expected sail on Thursday.
Cargo volume of 213,020 tonnes, comprising 166,406 tonnes imports cargo and 46,614 export cargo carried in 6,286 Containers (3,544 TEUs Imports &2,742 TEUs Export) was handled at the port during the last 24 hours.
There are 19 ships at Outer Anchorage of the Port Qasim, out of them six ships, Asphalt Alliance, Pan Bonita, Sereno, Ullswater, Al-Sene and Sea Spirit & another ship ‘MSC Aquarius-VII’ carrying Bitumen, Steel Coil, Mogas, LPG,LNG and Container expected to take berths at MW-2, MW-1, FOTCO, EVTL,PGPCL and QICT on Thursday.
