QUETTA, Feb 11 (APP): Balochistan Chief Minister (CM) Mir Sarfraz Bugti on Wednesday chaired a meeting to review the progress of the proposed health insurance policy for government employees, and the measures related to the rehabilitation of Civil and Bolan Medical Complex Hospital (BMCH) Quetta.
The meeting was attended by Provincial Minister Bakht Muhammad Kakar, Chief Secretary Balochistan Shakeel Qadir Khan and other concerned officials.
The CM was briefed on the implementation of the proposed health insurance policy for the treatment of government employees.
Addressing the meeting, the CM said that the health insurance policy is a great gift from the Balochistan government to its government employees.
He mentioned that the government employees who are engaged in the flow of government affairs and those who are on the roads would be provided with the best healthcare facilities.
The CM directed that all necessary steps should be finalized for the regular launch of the health insurance policy for government employees on March 7, 2026.
“Under the policy, every government employee will be provided with treatment facilities up to Rs 1 million in the best hospitals of the country”, he said.
Mir Sarfraz Bugti stated that all necessary matters should be expedited for the revival of Civil Hospital Quetta and Bolan Medical Complex.
He said that this policy would provide timely treatment facilities to government employees, adding that all the employees from grades one to 15 and above are very close to our hearts.
He maintained that the policy would reduce the pressure on the health system as a whole and also praised the Health Department and the Finance Department for formulating the best policy.
