ISLAMABAD, Oct 5 (APP):Punjab’s Information Minister Fayaz-ul-Hasan Chohan Friday said the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government was introducing reforms in the police department for depoliticizing it, besides removing the gap with the public.
Talking to a private news channel, the minister alleged that the former Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government had used the police for the interests of the party leadership and supporters.
The PML-N had destroyed all national institutions, including the police and the PTI government was evolving policies to streamline their affairs, he added.
