ICT admin launches 1 dashboard to register taxi, biker services

ISLAMABAD, Feb 10 (APP): The Islamabad district administration has finalized a digital system to register all taxi and biker services operating in the Federal Capital.
The move targets unregistered vehicles and introduces a single platform to monitor drivers and trips, said the spokesman of ICT administration here.
In this regard, an important meeting on the registration plan was held under the chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner Islamabad. The Additional Deputy Commissioner East briefed the meeting on the features and rollout of the system.
According to the briefing, a dedicated registration dashboard has been prepared by the district administration. From tomorrow, all taxi and biker services will be required to register through this system. Services can complete registration using the Islamabad City App.
The system allows citizens to verify a taxi or biker through a QR code. By scanning the code, passengers can confirm whether a vehicle and driver are registered. Officials said this step will help passengers make informed choices before starting a trip.
The briefing stated that drivers will be required to enter passenger identity card numbers and travel details for each trip. This requirement aims to ensure trip records are available when needed and to strengthen accountability.
Citizens will also be able to verify drivers with one click through the app. The verification feature will display basic registration details to confirm that the driver is authorized to operate within Islamabad.
Officials said enforcement action will be taken against taxi and biker services operating without registration. The administration plans to use the dashboard to track compliance and identify violations.
The Deputy Commissioner Islamabad said the purpose of the initiative is to provide safe travel facilities in the federal capital. He added that the system brings all services under one platform and improves oversight without disrupting daily transport needs.
The district administration urged service providers to complete registration on time to avoid action. Citizens were advised to use registered services and verify vehicles through the QR code before traveling.
