ISLAMABAD, Feb 10 (APP): The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Tuesday accepted the petition against the reduction of the sentence in the case of a police personnel who shoot his colleague.
The court declared the trial court’s decision to reduce the sentence null and void.
Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani, hearing the case, remarked that the problem is that the judge came from Lahore on deputation and does not know what to do.
He remarked that the question is that if the sentence is five years, how did the judge reduce the sentence to four years. The orders of the Supreme Court are also available.
After hearing the arguments, the court accepted the petition of the petitioner against the decision of the Sessions Court.
