BCB requests Pakistan to play Feb 15 T20 World Cup match against India

ISLAMABAD, Feb 09 (APP): The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has requested Pakistan to play its ICC T20 World Cup match against India scheduled for February 15 for the benefit of the entire cricket ecosystem.

The request was made by BCB President Md Aminul Islam following his recent visit to Pakistan and in light of the positive outcomes of discussions held during the visit, according to a BCB media release issued on Monday.

The media release said the BCB also expressed its sincere appreciation to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), the International Cricket Council (ICC) and all stakeholders for their positive role in addressing recent challenges.

The BCB particularly expressed its profound and heartfelt gratitude to PCB Chairman Mohsin Raza Naqvi, his Board and the cricket fans of Pakistan, saying that throughout the period the PCB demonstrated exemplary sportsmanship and solidarity.

“We are deeply moved by Pakistan’s efforts to go above and beyond in supporting Bangladesh during this period. Long may our brotherhood flourish,” Aminul Islam was quoted as saying.
