MOSCOW, Feb 09 (APP): Ambassador of Pakistan to Russia Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, visited Primakov National Research Institute of World Economy and International Relations of the Russian Academy of Sciences in Moscow and met with Dr. Feodor Voitolovsky, Director of the Institute, Dr. Alexey Kupriyanov, Head of South Asia and Indian Ocean Group and Dr. Peter Topychkanov, expert in nuclear non-proliferation, arms control, and South Asian security issues.
Ambassador Tirmizi shared the perspective of Pakistan Foreign Policy in the Eurasian region, Pakistan-Russia relations and also highlighted Pakistan India relations and how current polices of India could disrupt the peace in the South Asian region.
During the discussions, Dr. Feodor Voitolovsky, talked about Russia-Ukraine conflict and historical events, which led to the current situation, as well as the Russian government political and diplomatic efforts to settle the ongoing conflict.
Dr. Voitolovsky also mentioned fruitful and successful collaboration of Russian and Pakistani think tanks and highlighted progressing relationship between Russia and Pakistan.
He also invited Ambassador Tirmizi for discussions with researchers of the Institute on Eurasian region, multipolar world and bilateral relation between Pakistan and Russia.
