Noor Zaman upset seeded Khushal Riaz in NBP National Junior Squash

PESHAWAR, Oct 04 (APP):Noor Zaman upset seeded Khushal Riaz in the Under-17 category in the ongoing National Bank National Junior Squash Championship being played here at PAF Hashim Khan Squash Complex on Thursday.
Noor Zaman, a unseeded player, recorded thumping victory against Khushal Riaz in the marathon five sets battle lasted for 49-minute. Noor Zaman marched into victory in the first set at 11-4 but he
failed to click in the second won by Khushal Riaz at 7-11.
Again Noor Zaman secured victory in the third set at 11-5 but lost to Khushal Riaz at 10-12. It
was a good show by Khushal Riaz in the fourth set when he tied the tally two at the set point. After 2-2, Noor Zaman came up with a big bang by winning the fifth and decisive set 11-8 and thus raced up to
vital victory.
In the other matches of the quarter-finals Muhammad Saqib Iqbal recorded victory against Ahmad Hassan in five sets battle, the score was 7-11, 9-11, 14-12, 11-3 and 11-1. The match provided great thrill for the sitting spectators.
In the third match Hamza Sharif defeated Hammad Khan by 3-0, the score was 11-67, 14-12 and 11-4 and in the last quarter-final Rashid Doulat defeated Mavia Hussain by 11-9, 7-11, 5-11, 11-3 and 11-7.
In the Under-11 category Abdullah Nawaz, the top seeded player, defeated Mobin Ali by 3-0, the score was 11-2, 11-0 and 11-1, Ibrahm Zeb beat Hurraira by 3-0, the score was 11-9, 11-5 and 11-7, Umair Atif beat Abdullah Zaman by 3-1, the score was 9-11, 11-7, 11-8 and 11-5 and Mobeen Khan
beat Ariaz Asad by 3-0, the score was 11-4, 11-8 and 11-5.
In the Under-13 category Humam Ahmad defeated Ehsan Ali by 3-0, the score was 11-4, 11-3 and 11-1. Humam Ahmad did not look behind and toppled Ehsan Ali very easily. Muhammad Hanif beat Hanif Khan by 3-0, the score was 11-3, 11-6 and 11-7. Shaki Ullah beat Majid Khan by 3-0, the score was
11-3, 11-7 and 11-9, and Yaseen Khattak beat Saboor Khan by 3-0, the score was 11-2, 11-7 and 11-5
In the Under-15 category Waleed Khan beat Sheraz Akbar by 3-0 in another thrilling match, the score was 11-4, 11-8 and 11-7. Afaq Khan beat Fahad Sharif by 7-11, 13-15, 11-2, 11-9 and
11-8. Abbas Nawaz beat Noman Khan by 3-0, the score was 11-7, 11-6 and 11-7 and Huzaifa Zahid
beat Mutahir Ali by 3-2 in a thrilling match, the score was 2-11, 11-5, 2-11, 11-2 and 11-8.
