NDMA dispatches humanitarian aid consignment to Palestine

LAHORE, Feb 09 (APP): The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) dispatched the 28th humanitarian aid consignment for the people of Palestine, comprising 100 tons of tents.
The relief goods were dispatched through a special flight from Allama Iqbal International Airport on Monday, Lahore to Al-Arish, Egypt, for onward delivery to Gaza.
The consignment was sent with the support of Alkhidmat Foundation.
With the dispatch of the latest shipment, Pakistan’s total humanitarian assistance to Palestine through 28 consignments has reached 2,727 tons, according to NDMA officials.
A sending-off ceremony was held at the airport, which was attended by Punjab Minister for Housing and Food Bilal Yasin as the chief guest. Senior officials of the NDMA and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, along with representatives of various government departments and Alkhidmat Foundation, were also present on the occasion.
Talking on the occasion, Bilal Yasin said that the government of Pakistan and the people of Pakistan stood firmly with the people of Palestine during this difficult time and would continue to extend all possible humanitarian support to help address their urgent needs.
