Roots Millennium School, Trafalgar Campus celebrates Annual Parents Day 2026 with vibrant cultural performances

ISLAMABAD, Feb 09 (APP): Roots Millennium School (RMS), Trafalgar Campus, organized its Annual Parents Day 2026 at the Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) with the inspiring theme “Education for Sustainability, Leadership and Global Harmony.”
The event featured colourful student performances reflecting creativity, cultural diversity, and global awareness.
A creative Artifical Intelligence themed presentation, highlighted innovation, values, and social responsibility, while a cultural showcase represented countries including the United Kingdom, China, South Africa, and Palestine.
One of the most engaging segments was a patriotic performance on “Dil Dil Pakistan,” with students wearing traditional cultural dresses representing all provinces of Pakistan, celebrating unity in diversity.
The presentation on Sustainable Development Goals by the students also received huge appreciation.
Addressing the gathering, Executive Director, The Millennium Education, Anna Faisal, said that Parents Day is being celebrated across all Millennium institutions, providing children a platform that builds lifelong confidence.
“When children perform on such stages, the confidence and memories stay with them for life. Our teachers put tremendous energy into nurturing students every day,” she said, adding that the institution is moving toward digital classrooms and skill-based learning to shape the future of children.
She appreciated the dedication of teachers and staff, noting the immense effort behind every successful student.
Also speaking on the occasion, Amna Salik, Director of Education, The Millennium Education (TME), said that success is not only about academic results but about building resilience, personality, attitude, integrity, and strong character.
“We want our students to celebrate diversity while remaining grounded in strong values. Our teaching aims to develop better thinkers who can contribute meaningfully to society,” she said.
Mr. David Arcao, Political Counselor at the Embassy of Portugal, highlighted the vital role of education in shaping individuals, saying it goes beyond academics to instill values, curiosity, a passion for lifelong learning, and openness to the world.
He appreciated the tremendous efforts of parents in supporting their children’s growth and wished students great success in the future, adding that such events are a reminder that education is the key to building a better future.
Officials from the British Council and the Embassy of Portugal were also present on the occasion.
The Director Examinations, British Council Pakistan, Miss Amanda Ingram, who was the chief guest, said the British Council is an international organization of the UK working with millions of young students to promote peace and education worldwide.
She highlighted Pakistan’s importance to the UK, noting the strong relationship of over 75 years between the two countries.
“Our long-term commitment to Pakistan remains strong. Our partnership with Roots Millennium Education continues, and our dedicated teams ensure examinations are conducted smoothly even in challenging times,” she said.
Miss Ingram acknowledged the role of teachers, stating that behind every great student is a great teacher, and added that the British Council Pakistan will continue investing in teacher development.
Referring to global challenges such as poverty, climate change, health crises, and inequality, she expressed hope in the youth’s creativity and courage to shape a better future.
Earlier, Headmistress RMS Trafalgar Campus, Maryam Shoaib, appreciated the hard work of teachers in making the event successful and highlighted the importance of such activities for holistic education.
The Annual Parents Day concluded with applause from parents and guests, celebrating the students’ talent and the school’s commitment to sustainability, leadership, and global harmony.
