KOHAT, Feb 8 (APP): Kohat City Police on Sunday arrested a suspect and recovered a large quantity of narcotics during an operation carried out under the special directives of District Police Officer (DPO) Kohat, Shahbaz Elahi.
According to police, the action was part of the district-wide anti-narcotics campaign aimed at curbing drug trafficking. SHO City Police Station, Jabar Khan, along with a police team, intercepted a suspicious motorcyclist during routine checking.
Upon search, the police recovered 7 kilograms of hashish and 115 grams of crystal methamphetamine (Ice) from the suspect’s possession.
The accused, identified as Basheer, a resident of the Afghan Refugee Camp, was taken into custody. A case has been registered against him at the City Police Station, and further investigation is underway.
