SHEIKHUPURA, Feb 7 (APP): Federal Minister for National Food Security and Research Rana Tanveer Hussain has stated that Pakistan’s armed forces are fully proficient in conventional and modern technology-based warfare, earning the country a prominent position globally. He made these remarks while attending the oath-taking ceremony of the Sheikhupura Press Club.
According to APP correspondent, he emphasized that many countries are seeking cooperation with Pakistan in the defense sector, testament to the professional capabilities of the forces.
He highlighted the crucial role played by the Pakistani Armed Forces in national security, particularly during the PDM regime and the present era.
The minister noted that the forces’ participation in the war against terrorism has been 100%, and the enemy is now resorting to proxy operations, but the nation and institutions will jointly thwart these conspiracies.
He stressed that weakening the Pakistani army is equivalent to weakening Pakistan, and the security of the nation is linked to strong institutions.
Tanveer praised the sacrifices of police and other institutions, saying the nation will never forget their contributions. He emphasized the need for national unity to fight against terrorism and ensure a strong and peaceful Pakistan for future generations.
The minister also highlighted the government’s efforts to improve the economy, saying difficult but necessary decisions have been taken to save the country from default, and economic indicators are now moving towards improvement.
He stressed the importance of media accountability, saying it is the duty of the media to identify both positive and negative aspects.
In conclusion, Tanveer praised the journalistic history of Sheikhupura, saying the journalists have always played a responsible role.
