ISLAMABAD, Feb 6 (APP): Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Inter-Faith Harmony, Sardar Muhammad Yousaf strongly condemned the suicide blast here on Friday, stating that targeting innocent worshippers is an attack on humanity as well as on the true teachings of Islam.
In a statement, the minister emphasized that terrorism has no religion and also offered prayers for the martyrs of the incident. He expressed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families.
He also prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured in the attack, calling the targeting of worship places a coward act of terrorism. He stressed that strict action should be taken against those involved in such heinous acts.
Commenting on terrorist groups such as Fitna-al-Khawarij, the minister said these elements are enemies of the nation and conspiring to sabotage religious harmony in Pakistan, but they would not achieve success in this regard.
Sardar Yousaf reiterated the government’s firm resolve to completely eradicate terrorism from the country and stated that Ulema and religious leadership are fully united against terrorism.
