ISLAMABAD, Feb 06 (APP): Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani on Friday strongly condemned the blast at an Imambargah in the Tarlai area of Islamabad.
He expressed deep grief over the loss of precious lives and the injuries suffered by several people in the incident.
The chairman extended heartfelt condolences to the families of the martyrs and expressed solidarity with the injured, praying for their early and complete recovery.
Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani said that targeting places of worship is an attack on humanity, religious values, and national harmony, and such acts can never be tolerated.
He stressed that these cowardly attacks cannot weaken the nation’s resolve but instead strengthen unity and determination.
He said terrorists have no religion or country and are enemies of humanity who seek to disrupt peace, stability, and progress.
He reaffirmed that terrorists would never succeed, as the nation and state institutions stand united against terrorism.
The chairman also praised the ongoing efforts of Pakistan’s armed forces and law enforcement agencies in the fight against terrorism, saying the nation takes pride in the sacrifices made by its security forces.
He again conveyed condolences to the bereaved families and said the entire nation stands with them in this hour of grief.
