ISLAMABAD, Feb 06 (APP): The Supreme Court Bar Association of Pakistan (SCBAP) has strongly condemned the suicide attack that took place on Friday at an Imambargah located at the outskirts of Islamabad during the Jumma prayers.
In a press note released on Friday, Haroon-Ur-Rashid, President, Malik Zahid Aslam Awan, Secretary and the 28th Executive Committee of the Supreme Court Bar Association of Pakistan (SCBAP) extended its heartfelt condolences, prayed for the highest ranks for those who lost their lives in this tragic incident and a speedy recovery for the injured.
The Executive Committee noted that terrorism is unacceptable in all its forms and manifestations. Islam is a religion of peace, and such abhorrent acts are absolutely against the teachings of Islam, the Qur’an, and the Sunnah.
The Executive Committee further expressed grave concern over the surge in terrorism activities by terrorist outfits such as Fitna-tul-Khawarij.
The Committee called upon law enforcement agencies to identify and apprehend those responsible for perpetrating these heinous crimes and to ensure that they are awarded exemplary punishment.
