HYDERABAD, Feb 06 (APP): Deputy Commissioner Matiari Muhammad Yousif Shaikh will organize the “Matiari Moves Marathon” on February 12, and preparations for the event have already been initiated.
According to a handout issued on Friday, the deputy commissioner said that such healthy activities were essential for bringing positive change in society, as marathon events promote a healthy lifestyle, highlight the importance of education and raise awareness about environmental protection among youth and the general public.
He added that the people of Matiari had always actively participated in social and health related activities.
The deputy commissioner further stated that the objective of the marathon was to create awareness regarding health, education and the environment, and the marathon route had been fixed from Mango Square to Benazir Square, while the event will officially commence at 12:00 noon.
A large number of participants from Matiari and across the district are expected to take part in the event.
