TANK, Feb 06 (APP):The Tank police have carried out special search, snap-checking, and strike operations across the district, resulting in the arrest of a proclaimed offender and four suspects along with the recovery of 1,250 grams of hashish and a motorcycle.
According to police spokesman, the operations were conducted at multiple locations following the directives of District Police Officer (DPO) Abdul Samad Khan.
The police have arrested a proclaimed offender wanted in a case registered at Police Station Gul Imam. During snap checking, police also checked 30 motorcycles and one tenant, detained one suspicious individual.
In a separate operation, the police arrested an accused from the Umar Khel area of Umar Adda. During the operation, police recovered 1,250 grams of hashish and one motorcycle.
Additionally, police teams inspected five rented houses and eight sensitive locations, detained another suspicious individual, and initiated preventive proceedings against three persons.
Overall, the police checked 30 motorcycles, six rented houses, and eight sensitive sites during the district-wide operations.
The police spokesman stated that such targeted operations will continue to curb crime, discourage drug trafficking, and ensure lasting peace and security in the district.
