QUETTA, Feb 05 (APP): Governor of Balochistan Jaffar Khan Mandokhail has underscored the importance of close coordination between government departments and private development organizations to bring meaningful and lasting change in society through welfare initiatives.
He expressed these views during a meeting with a delegation of Muslim Hands, led by Regional Head Malik Naeem, at the Governor House in Quetta. Attaullah Durrani and Jameel Ahmed were also present on the occasion.
The Governor noted that while government institutions play a vital role in public service delivery, private and non-governmental organizations are equally important partners in addressing social challenges.
He stressed that enhanced collaboration between the public and private sectors can significantly improve service delivery and create real social impact.
Jaffar Mandokhail praised the efforts of Muslim Hands in various districts of Balochistan, particularly in the fields of education, healthcare, and provision of clean drinking water, describing their initiatives as commendable and beneficial for local communities.
Highlighting the province’s unique challenges, he pointed out that Balochistan’s relatively small but widely dispersed population makes it difficult to ensure the provision of basic facilities across all areas. He urged international organizations and NGOs to extend their support in providing essential services to people living in remote and underdeveloped regions.
The Governor further encouraged development organizations to expand their welfare and relief activities into rural and far-flung areas so that marginalized communities can also benefit from development projects and basic social services.
The Muslim Hands delegation briefed the Governor on the organization’s ongoing development and humanitarian projects in Balochistan and reaffirmed their commitment to continue supporting local communities in collaboration with government institutions.
