KP ministers highlight Pakistan’s support for Kashmir as Solidarity Day observed across Hazara Division

ABBOTTABAD, Feb 05 (APP): Kashmir Solidarity Day 2026 was observed across the Hazara Division with national spirit, as district administrations organized rallies, walks, flag-hoisting ceremonies, seminars, and prayer gatherings to reaffirm Pakistan’s unwavering support for the people of Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
KP Minister for Elementary and Secondary Education Arshad Ayub Khan condemned Indian atrocities in occupied Kashmir and reiterated Pakistan’s steadfast backing for the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination.
In Tehsil Ghazi, a dignified ceremony was held under the leadership of Assistant Commissioner Ghazi Junaid Aftab, alongside the Tehsil Chairman, SDPO, and TMO. The event began with a one-minute silence to honor the martyrs of Kashmir, followed by a flag-hoisting ceremony and a solidarity walk from the TMA Complex. Participants raised slogans supporting the Kashmiri freedom struggle and offered prayers for their freedom, safety, and success.
In Khanpur, similar events were organized under the supervision of the Assistant Commissioner, with a minute of silence, flag hoisting, and a solidarity walk from TMA Khanpur to the Assistant Commissioner’s Office. Students delivered speeches highlighting the Kashmiri struggle and calling on the international community to take notice of grave human rights violations in occupied Kashmir.
At the divisional level, KP Minister Arshad Ayub Khan represented the province at the central ceremony and rally held at Kohala Bridge. Addressing the gathering, he condemned Indian atrocities and reaffirmed Pakistan’s moral, political, and diplomatic support for the Kashmiri cause, stressing that the KP government will continue to raise the issue at every forum.
In Upper Kohistan, Deputy Commissioner Tariq Ali Khan led district-wide events, including a peaceful walk from the DC Secretariat in Dasu to China Bridge, where participants formed a human chain to show unity with the Kashmiri people.
Citizens, religious scholars, youth, and government officials actively participated, chanting slogans for Kashmir’s freedom.
In Battagram, an awareness seminar at Government Centennial Model High School highlighted Indian atrocities, enforced disappearances, and human rights violations in occupied Kashmir. Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Zia-ur-Rehman reaffirmed Pakistan’s ongoing support for the Kashmiri people, followed by a solidarity rally to Kacheri Chowk.
In Lower Kohistan, a rally and symbolic walk were organized under the supervision of Additional Deputy Commissioner Finance and Planning Fida-ul-Kareem, with participants carrying banners supporting the Kashmiri right to self-determination and condemning Indian oppression.
The events across Hazara Division concluded with prayers for the martyrs of Kashmir and renewed pledges that the people of Pakistan will continue to stand shoulder to shoulder with the Kashmiri people until they achieve their legitimate right to self-determination
