ISLAMABAD, Feb 05 (APP): Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Thursday reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering solidarity with the people of Indian-occupied Kashmir, paying tribute to their decades-long struggle for freedom on the occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day.
In a statement, Naqvi said the “entire nation, including every child of Pakistan,” stands firmly with the oppressed Kashmiri people.
He lauded their “long struggle and unparalleled sacrifices,” noting that the residents of occupied Kashmir have shown remarkable resilience against “seven decades of Indian occupation, repression, and tyranny.”
Despite enduring a climate of fear, siege, and violence, Kashmiris have kept their courage and quest for freedom alive, the minister said. He criticized the global community’s indifference, calling the world’s silence in the face of their suffering “a grave moral failure.”
Naqvi underscored that United Nations resolutions continue to affirm the Kashmiris’ right to self-determination and stressed that sustainable peace in the region is impossible without resolving the Kashmir dispute.
He said Pakistan will continue to raise a strong voice at every international platform in support of the Kashmiri people’s legitimate rights.
“Kashmir Solidarity Day is a reminder that the sacrifices and struggle of the Kashmiri people will never be forgotten,” Naqvi said, expressing confidence that “the dawn of freedom will one day surely rise.”
