ISLAMABAD, Feb 05 (APP):Federal Minister for Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety, Syed Imran Ahmad Shah Thursday said that the struggle of the Kashmiri people is a just fight for dignity, justice, and the internationally recognized right to self-determination.
In his message on the occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day, the federal minister emphasized that the Kashmir issue is not merely a territorial dispute but a grave humanitarian crisis that continues to demand the attention of the global community.
He said the ongoing atrocities in Indian Illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIoJK) are a serious test of the world’s conscience, as innocent civilians are being systematically deprived of their fundamental human rights.
Syed Imran Ahmad Shah termed the suppression of the Kashmiri people unacceptable and urged the international community, particularly human rights organizations, to play an effective role in ending the violations being committed in the occupied territory.
Reiterating Pakistan’s principled stance, he said the country would never abandon its Kashmiri brothers and sisters and would continue to extend political, moral, and diplomatic support to their legitimate struggle until they achieve their right to self-determination in accordance with UN resolutions.
“The people of Pakistan stand shoulder to shoulder with the Kashmiris in their quest for freedom and justice,” he added.
