ISLAMABAD, Feb 05 (APP):Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Tariq Fazal Chaudhry on Thursday reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering political, moral and diplomatic support for the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), stating that the entire nation stood united with Kashmiris beyond all political and ideological differences.
Addressing a Kashmir Solidarity Day gathering here, the minister said that Kashmir Solidarity Day was being observed with a renewed spirit across Pakistan—from major cities to remote villages—reflecting the collective resolve of the nation to support the just struggle of the Kashmiri people for their right to self-determination.
He said that Pakistanis, irrespective of age, gender or political affiliation, were united in a single voice, adding that the slogan “Pakistan stands with Kashmir” was resonating from one end of the country to the other.
Tariq Fazal Chaudhry said that Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s historic statement describing Kashmir as the “jugular vein of Pakistan” continued to echo in the hearts of Pakistanis, and reaffirmed that Pakistan would continue to advocate the Kashmir cause at all international forums.
Referring to remarks by Federal Minister Ameer Muqam, he said that Pakistani embassies, consulates and overseas Pakistani communities across the world were actively raising their voices in support of Kashmir, exposing Indian human rights violations at the global level.
The minister said that India’s actions in occupied Kashmir had been fully exposed before the international community, adding that New Delhi’s restrictions on independent journalists, international organizations, and fact-finding missions were aimed at concealing ground realities.
He said that despite such restrictions, it was no longer possible to hide atrocities in the digital age, as evidence of repression continued to surface globally.
Paying tribute to the Pakistan Armed Forces, the minister said that the nation stood proud of its defenders, who had demonstrated professionalism and resolve in safeguarding national sovereignty.
He also recalled visits to Azad Kashmir and the Line of Control, noting that the courage and resilience of the Kashmiri people, standing shoulder to shoulder with Pakistan’s armed forces, reflected their deep bond with Pakistan and commitment to the freedom struggle.
Tariq Fazal Chaudhry said that Pakistan possessed the capability to defend itself and respond effectively to aggression, adding that the country would go to every extent necessary to support the legitimate cause of Kashmir.
He reiterated that Pakistan would continue to raise the Kashmir issue until the Kashmiri people were granted their internationally recognized right to self-determination, in accordance with United Nations Security Council resolutions.
The minister concluded by saying that Pakistan would remain the voice of the Kashmiri people across the world, reaffirming that the struggle for freedom would continue until its rightful conclusion.
