ISLAMABAD, Feb 05 (APP):A ceremony marking Kashmir Solidarity Day was held at Kohala Bridge on Thursday, where participants formed a human chain and reaffirmed support for the people of Kashmir.
The event included flag hoisting and the playing of the national anthem, with officials, community representatives and citizens attending.
Participants said the gathering symbolised unity with Kashmiris and aimed to highlight their cause at national and international levels.
Speakers reiterated Pakistan’s continued moral, political, and diplomatic support for the Kashmiri people and called for a peaceful resolution of the Kashmir dispute in accordance with United Nations Security Council resolutions.
Sirens were sounded during the event, and participants observed a one-minute silence to pay tribute to those affected by the conflict.
