ITP issues traffic plan as Kashmir Solidarity Day observed in capital

ISLAMABAD, Feb 05 (APP):Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) on Thursday issued a traffic plan in connection with the observance of Kashmir Solidarity Day, announcing temporary diversions on major roads of the federal capital to ensure smooth traffic flow.
An ITP official told APP that from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm, traffic diversions will be placed on Islamabad Expressway, Murree Road and Club Road, which may cause traffic pressure on Islamabad Expressway and Faisal Avenue.
He said commuters coming from Rawalpindi to Islamabad are advised to use Rawal Road Rawalpindi, Ninth Avenue, Faquir Epi Road and Srinagar Highway.
Similarly, road users travelling from Islamabad to Rawalpindi should use Zero Point and Srinagar Highway via Ninth Avenue, he added.
The official further advised citizens travelling between Murree/Barakahu and Islamabad to use Korang Road, Bani Gala, Park Road and Lehtrar Road, while those heading from Serena and Barakahu towards Rawalpindi should opt for Park Road via Khanna.
He said ITP officers will remain deployed on roads to facilitate citizens and manage traffic effectively during the specified time.
Citizens were advised to stay updated through the ITP helpline 1915 or emergency helpline Pucar-15, the official added.
