ISLAMABAD, Feb 04 (APP): Dawat-e-Islami organized a Shab-e-Barat congregation at Faizan-e-Madina, G-11 Markaz, where thousands of devotees gathered to mark the blessed occasion with worship, repentance and spiritual devotion.
The gathering began with the recitation of the Holy Quran and Naats, followed by a keynote address from Dawat-e-Islami Islamabad Nigran, Maulana Babar Madani.
He described Shab-e-Barat as a night of mercy, forgiveness and blessings, when Allah Almighty decrees the affairs of His servants for the coming year and grants pardon to countless sinners.

Maulana Madani urged believers to hold themselves accountable for their deeds, fulfill the rights of parents, relatives and neighbors, and adopt reconciliation and forgiveness by removing hatred and malice from their hearts.
Maulana Babar Madani further said that the month of Shaban, also known as the month of Durood and Salam, calls for increased recitation of Durood Sharif during its days.
He stated that reciting Durood Sharif brings relief from the constriction of the grave, removes fear and loneliness, and by its blessings, the long stay in the grave passes as if in a few moments.
He added that Durood Sharif carries numerous spiritual benefits, therefore all believers should make it a regular practice in abundance.
Thousands of people from Islamabad participated in the Shab-e-Barat gathering, where Salat-ul-Tasbeeh was also offered and emotional supplications were made. Participants sought repentance and forgiveness from Allah Almighty.
Arrangements for Sehri were also made for the attendees, and hundreds of participants observed voluntary fasts.
