The camp was set up to address the medical needs of residents in minority-populated areas.
Around 700 to 1,000 patients received free medical check-ups along with medicines.
Randhawa visited the medical camp and the dispensary established by Islamabad Employees Social Security Institution, and appreciated the initiative, stating that it aimed to ensure access to healthcare for all segments of society.
He said a minority locality had been specifically selected to improve residents’ access to medical services and added that such initiatives not only serve humanity but also contribute positively to society.
He directed the district administration to organise similar camps in other parts of the city to extend healthcare facilities to more deserving people.
Commissioner IESSI Rabia Aurangzeb, while speaking at the ceremony, thanked the CDA chairman and senior officers and said the initiative was not limited to workers alone but also catered to minorities and underprivileged groups.
At the conclusion of the event, free medical kits were distributed among patients, while commemorative shields were presented to the chief guests and supporters.
