GUJRAT, Feb 04 (APP): The Punjab Food Authority (PFA), on the directives of the Deputy Director Rizwan Saeed, conducted inspection operations at various food points and business premises across the district.
According to a PFA spokesperson, a total of 80 locations were inspected during the drive. Improvement notices were issued to 38 food business operators, while fines amounting to Rs 99,500 were imposed on 11 units for violations of hygiene and food safety regulations.
During the operation, 2 kilograms of unhygienic and substandard food items were discarded.
