RAWALPINDI, Feb 04 (APP):Students and teachers of various schools in Rawalpindi have expressed strong support for the Kashmiri people highlighted the ongoing situation in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
Several educational institutions organized special events, including speech competitions, tableaus, and awareness programs, in which a large number of students actively participated. These activities aimed to educate the younger generation about the Kashmir issue and to reaffirm Pakistan’s longstanding solidarity with the Kashmiri struggle for self-determination.
At Alama Iqbal High School, Tench Bhata, a ceremony was held where Principal Yasir Rahman and Vice Principal Misbah Tahir addressed the students. Speaking on the occasion, Yasir Rahman strongly condemned the Indian atrocities in occupied Kashmir, stating that human rights violations have reached alarming levels. He urged the international community to take serious notice of the deteriorating situation in IIOJK and to work toward a permanent and just resolution of the Kashmir dispute.
Vice Principal Misbah Tahir reminded the audience that the United Nations has passed several resolutions on Kashmir, describing it as a model unresolved issue on which the world body has so far failed to deliver.
Similarly, ‘Kashmir Solidarity Day’ was observed at Anam Public School, where Principal and Director Amjad Zaib Chaudhry addressed the students and staff in which he strongly denounced the continuing Indian oppression in occupied Kashmir and called upon the global community to pay attention to the grave human rights violations taking place there and to help bring about a lasting solution.
At Excellence School, Jinnah Garden, Principal Maryam Khalid addressed the students, raising awareness about the prevailing conditions in occupied Kashmir. She encouraged the students to improve their knowledge about the situation in IIOJK. The school also organized tableau presentations and speech contests, and also held a ‘Kasmir Solidarity Walk.
Students carried placards and chanted slogans expressing unity with the Kashmiri people and condemning the illegal Indian occupation. The event ended with prize distribution to students who secured top positions in speech and essay writing competitions.
