Governor KP former EU Parliamentarian, Swedish Artist discuss bilateral cooperation

ISLAMABAD, Feb 03 (APP):Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi here on Tuesday held a meeting with former Member of the European Parliament Bjorn Hultin and Swedish artist Carl Hultin, where the two sides exchanged views on culture, dialogue, and bilateral cooperation.
During the meeting, Governor Kundi said that Pakistan and the European Union share strong relations in multiple sectors and stressed the need to further strengthen these ties for the mutual benefit of people on both sides.
He also urged the European Union not to overlook the Kashmir issue, terming it one of the world’s longest unresolved disputes.
Bjorn Hultin was part of a European delegation that visited Pakistan to attend the launch of the photo book “Kashmir: Wait and See” by Belgian photojournalist Cedric Gerbehaye.
The delegation’s visit was arranged on the invitation of Chairman Kashmir Council European Union, Ali Raza Syed.
Speaking on the occasion, Bjorn Hultin described his visit to Pakistan, including Azad Jammu and Kashmir, as memorable and enriching.
He said meetings with political leadership and people from different walks of life helped him gain a deeper understanding of the region.
Hultin expressed his desire to visit Peshawar during his next trip to Pakistan and welcomed the opportunity to experience the hospitality of the Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Governor Kundi, in turn, invited the European delegation to visit Peshawar to attend the photo exhibition of “Kashmir: Wait and See.”
