IUB holds seminar

BAHAWALPUR, Feb 03 (APP): The Department of Pakistan Studies in collaboration with the Directorate of Students Affairs, The Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB), organized a seminar to mark Kashmir Solidarity Day, reaffirming support for the just struggle of the Kashmiri people.
The seminar was presided over by Chairperson Department of Pakistan Studies Dr Rubina Yasmin. Participants included Advisor Kashmir and Ideology of Pakistan Society Dr Ramzan Tahir, Advisor Debating Society Dr Zeeshan Tabassum, Advisor Performing Arts Society Dr Asif Nadeem, and Additional Director Students Affairs Dr. Adnan Bukhari.
During the seminar, students actively expressed their views on the Kashmir issue. Iman Tahir delivered an English speech highlighting the historical background, human rights concerns, and international dimensions of the Kashmir dispute, while Abdul Basit presented an Urdu essay emphasizing the sacrifices and resilience of the Kashmiri people. Adding a cultural dimension to the event, Awais-ur-Rehman, along with members of the Performing Arts Society, performed a song depicting the Kashmiri struggle for freedom.
The session was moderated by Lecturer Department of Pakistan Studies Asif Usman. Speakers and participants emphasized the significance of Kashmir Solidarity Day and reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering moral, political, and diplomatic support for the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
