BAHAWALPUR, Feb 03 (APP): Deputy Commissioner Bahawalpur Syed Hasan Raza handed over cheques to the Chief Executive Officer of the District Education Authority Bahawalpur, Touqbal Hussain, for payment of compensation to teachers who served in the Punjab Socio-Economic Registry (PSER) survey.
The cheues were provided to the district administration to pay the teachers who performed duties in the PSER survey. District Manager PSER Dr Amir Mushtaq was also present at the ceremony, where the Deputy Commissioner Bahawalpur formally handed the compensation cheques to the Chief Executive Officer Education.
According to details, 400 teachers from Bahawalpur district served in the PSER survey. Each of these teachers is being paid Rs 40,000 for three months’ compensation. During the survey, the teachers visited homes to collect data on deserving and poor families, which significantly helped make the Government of Punjab’s welfare programs more effective and transparent.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Syed Hasan Raza said the Punjab Socio-Economic Registry survey is a highly important provincial and national-level initiative of the government of Punjab, and the teachers displayed hard work, honesty, and responsibility in ensuring its success. He said timely payment of teachers’ compensation is being ensured to encourage them so they continue to participate in national projects with the same spirit in the future.
District Manager PSER Dr Amir Mushtaq, praising the teachers’ services, said the teachers involved in the survey discharged their responsibilities with great courtesy and their role is commendable.
