ISLAMABAD, Feb 3 (APP): Gold prices increased sharply in the local market on Tuesday, as the price of 24-karat gold per tola surged by Rs.24,000 to settle at Rs.514,362, while the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold went up by Rs.20,576 to Rs.440,982, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.
Likewise, the price of 10 grams of 22-karat gold increased by Rs.18,862 to Rs.404,248, whereas silver prices also registered an increase, with 24-karat silver per tola going up by Rs.741 to stand at Rs.9,146 and 10 grams of silver increasing by Rs.636 to Rs.7,841.
In the international market, gold prices went up $240 to $4,916 per ounce, while silver increased by $7.41 to $86.71 per ounce, the association reported.
