LAHORE, Feb 02 (APP): The average Air Quality Index (AQI) recorded in the Lahore city stood at 196, placing it in the unhealthy category and indicating poor air quality conditions.
At the same time, PM2.5 concentrations were measured at 24 times higher than the World Health Organization’s annual PM2.5 guideline value, highlighting severe air pollution that poses serious health risks, particularly for vulnerable groups such as children, the elderly, and those with respiratory or heart-related illnesses.
